statement: Comrade Zia is immortal!
To our comrades in Afghanistan:
It is with great sorrow that we learned of the death of Comrade Zia, President of the Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan, from a heart attack at 68 years of age. Comrade Zia was a longtime leader of the communist movement in Afghanistan, a revolutionary already when Afghanistan was still a monarchy. The Maoist Communist Party and our organizations offer our deepest condolences to the Party of Comrade Zia, his comrades, the masses of Afghanistan and those close to him. We remember that these comrades did the same when Comrade Pierre, our founder, himself died.
We highlight Comrade Zia's contributions several points present in his funeral praise published by the Central Committee of the Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan (see below):

Its role in the unification of the Communists of Afghanistan, that is to say of the Marxist-Leninists-Maoists, under the leadership of a single party, the Communist Party (Maoist) of Afghanistan. From the Revolutionary Communist Cell that he founded and directed in 1987 to the Second Congress of the Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan in 2014, we see a life dedicated to the relentless struggle for the unity of the Communists.

His slogan of revolution through the people's war for national resistance against the imperialists, bureaucratic capitalists and feudal lords in Afghanistan.

His contribution to the continuation and development of the political line of Akram Yari, a great Afghan communist leader who fell as a martyr at the hands of the reactionary government in 1979.
Dear comrades of the Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan, we share your grief because it is the international proletariat which has lost a combatant. We salute the continuation of his work and the development of the revolutionary path in Afghanistan and in all countries.
Comrade Zia is immortal!
Comrade Zia will live in the struggles of the international proletariat!
