To the Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan,
Comrades,
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Brazil (Red Fraction) addresses to the Central Committee of the Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan, to all its leaders, cadres and militants, to the proletariat and oppressed masses that struggle under your leadership, in order to manifest our deep and fraternal condolences for the death of comrade Zia.
As the chairman and founder of the Communist (Maoist) Party of Afghanistan, comrade Zia had a fundamental role to the proletarian revolutionary movement in Afghanistan and stood out as a prominent figure to the International Communist Movement, actively participating in all ideological and political battles of the International Communist Movement.
The ICM can not advance without honest and open two lines struggle to unify itself on the fundamental principles of marxism-leninism-maoism, against revisionism and all opportunism. Those who want to hinder the open, honest and organized two lines struggle in the name of “unity”, as so the great Lenin warned regarding those who raise the banner of unity in order to, actually, sabotage unity, the true unity.
The two lines struggle in the International Communist Movement is raising to a new level. In these recent battles, our parties, as brother parties, assumed opposite stands around a series of questions of principles, on which we started to develop a honest and open struggle aiming to achieve the true unity of principles in the International Communist Movement. At this struggle, we believe that comrade Zia and his party, from an opposite stand from ours, were and still are advocates of unity based on principles, and their example should be followed.
His premature death, at a moment in which the communists in the whole world advance in the struggle for carrying out an Unified Maoist International Conference and found a New International Organization of the Proletariat, is an important loss for the International Communist Movement.
In a moment that the crisis of world imperialist system deepens and powerful waves of people’s rebellions multiply as a typhoon throughout the world, announcing a new moment for the World Proletarian Revolution, we are certain that the proletariat and people’s masses of Afghanistan will be able to transform this loss into greater decision, unity and audacity to fulfill their urgent tasks, and expel the rapacious invader, smash their lackeys for the triumph of the revolution of a new democracy through People’s War, serving the World Proletarian Revolution by sweeping imperialism and all reaction away from the face of earth.
